There used to be a time many, many years ago when the consumer got value for his dollar. Because the way Free Enterprise works is : A man sees a need and builds a business around filling that need for people who want and will pay for that product or service. To attract that consumer the man with the business would do whatever he had to to convince that buyer that He should spend his money with Him. Whoever did the best “song and dance” got the money. Jump up 20 – 30 years and what do We have? The guy behind the counter at 7 /11 giving You the sarcastic “Your welcome” as if You were supposed to thank Him first for being allowed to spend Your money at his little sh*t hole of a place. The Electronic mega store having You jump through hoops so You can walk out of their place of business 2500.00 deeper in debt. The Auto dealers and Home sellers having You run around getting paper work filled out and scrapping together more down payments just for the privilege of going deeper in debt with them. Why is that ? Because We have become a nation of materialistic must have now at any cost morons. We have much more than We ever will need to survive day to day. In fact our quest to have ever more “stuff” is heading Us in a direction where We will ultimately find ourselves at risk of loosing it all, but not until they have gotten all We have. Not until We have stretched our finances to the point where there is nothing else for them to take from Us will they leave Us alone. As long as there is a balance left on one of our many credit cards, as long as We have good enough credit to get one more We are willing to buy whatever the latest craze they  pommel into our heads is still available, not even caring about the price We will have it no matter what the financial strain it may cause because We just have to have it, point blank, no debate.

Our Need to have at any cost has made Us willingly give up that power and They know it, they did it. From the very basic radio commercials to the multi million dollar ads shown at the Super Bowl half time they have led Us to believe that We can not live without whatever it is they sell. OK, that’s fine You work hard, You deserve something special. BUT do it on Your terms. They get pushy walk away, there are many more who can sell You whatever it is. The food sucks at a fast food joint? Let them know and never go back. Where You spend Your money is Your choice and Your power. Till You take that power back You will always be looking for a “Co-signer” that will allow You to rent that cheesy 5 piece living room set for only $125.00 a week. Next time You go into a store You call the shots, You tell them what YOU want and make it clear You don’t give half a fat rats ass about their needs. They are in business to sell, if they want Your business they will come out in clown suits jumping through fire hoops or You will just go elsewhere. Next time You are in the market for a new Car and the salesman has to go “talk” to the guy that makes the rules tell Him “No, you take me to him” and tell Him, ” I’m going to lunch when I get back You give Me the absolute best deal You can. You have ONE chance I will either be happy with it and buy or walk away. You have one chance” don’t let them circle jerk You around there are dealers all over town who want Your money. DON”T GIVE UP YOUR SELF RESPECT FOR A ” THING”.

Quit being such a ” I want it , I want it, I want it now” baby. Next time You are in the market to spend some money before You even walk through their door, reach down and make sure Your balls are still attached, than make them work for Your money.
